After 50 years, Atlantis has re-released Tom Daniel's King Chopper. This kit is a first class effort by Atlantis models and is molded in a purple pearl like color. The kit contains about 75 to 100 pieces and features soft rubber like tires, lots of quality chrome plated parts, clear and red vinyl tubing, a decal sheet, and clear plastic for the head light lenses. The instruction sheet is most likely the original Monogram offering with the Atlantis logo and features a series of steps with exploded views and detailed worded instructions for assembly. In addition, Atlantis has thrown in a sample of a Flexi Grit sanding stick.
A while back, I speculated that some of the old Monogram show rods would probably be re-released by Atlantis and I was very excited by this new addition to Atlantis's offerings. Overall, I feel the kit is very good quality with minimal flash and high quality chrome plating.
