This model features a really nicely detailed flat head engine, but unfortunately it does have some problems with fit when assembling it. For example, the engine had dual water pumps and hoses which can partially be seen in the picture. The alignment of the fan belt, engine heads, and radiator hoses are all interdependent. If the engine heads are not positioned properly you can't seat the pins on the hoses properly on the engine head or the fan belt assembly. Also, the fan is just too large so you can't place the blades at 12 O'clock or else it will interfere with the slanted radiator. On the positive side, the exhaust system fit fairly well onto the engine and frame. I decided to change out the wheels, because the wire set did not line up very well. The wheels currently on the kit are the same as the ones originally supplied but I had to change them out due to the fact the chrome was very poorly done. One other area that requires some additional care is the windshield's chrome trim. I had to remove the wiper because I suspect it was molded on the wrong side of the chrome trim. In addition, I had to file down the posts slightly to allow the chrome trim to seat properly in the front cab. Overall, the fit on this kit could of been better but so far I am finding it doable. If you pick this kit, make sure you have a good set off files and some emery boards because you will need them.

I managed to get a few more things done on the 34 Ford today. Finished the interior as you can see from the picture below. I flocked the floor and painted it with Tamiya German Grey. I also decided on a method to attach the body and fenders to the chassis; because the kit had no hard points for mounting them. As a result I came up with an idea to use thin strips of plastic to create the mounting points for the body and fenders. This also helped keep the rear end of the car slightly higher than the front end and insure that the tires had plenty of clearance from the rear wheels. I cemented the body and fenders together before I cemented the assembly to the chassis, as shown below:
